This innovative service makes it easier for you to obtain a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN). If your HSA/FSA provider or the IRS requires such a letter for reimbursement of services or products, Truemed® steps in to streamline this process, so you can focus on your healing and less on the paperwork.

This addition reflects my commitment to ensuring your journey—from emotional to financial—is supported. Below, I’ll walk you through how to get started with Truemed® and make the most of this valuable service.

Getting Started With Truemed®

Getting your LMN from Truemed® is quick and takes less than five minutes. Here’s how:

  1. Start the Qualification Process: Click this link to check if your purchases from my practice are eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement. Fill out their short health survey, which will be reviewed by a licensed provider. If approved, you’ll receive your LMN by email, typically on the same day.

  2. Complete the Short Survey: This simple survey covers basic health information and identification. There’s a one-time $30 fee for the service, and your LMN will be valid for one year. After payment, you’ll get an email notification with your LMN if you qualify.

  3. Next Steps: Use your HSA/FSA card for purchases and keep your LMN for up to three years as proof for your HSA/FSA provider or the IRS. If you pay with a personal credit card and wish to file for reimbursement, follow the instructions below.

How to Submit Your LMN for Reimbursement

  1. Understand Your LMN: Your LMN is valid for 12 months. Purchases within this timeframe qualify for reimbursement, and you’ll need to renew it when it expires.

  2. Locate Your HSA/FSA Provider: If you’re unsure of your plan’s administrator, contact your HR department.

  3. Log Into Your HSA/FSA Portal: Use your credentials to access your provider’s online portal and create an account if you haven’t already.

  4. Submit Your LMN and Receipt: Find the “Claims” or “Reimbursement” section and upload your Truemed LMN along with your receipt (provided as a PDF in your order confirmation email).

  5. Wait for Confirmation: Processing can take up to a few weeks. Your reimbursement will be deposited directly into your designated account.

This process can be repeated for any future reimbursements.
